2018 Region VII CRC Accomplishments

The annual Region VII Chapters Regional Conference (CRC) was held in Nashville, TN August 4-6, 2017. The West Virginia Chapter was again recognized for outstanding performance and received several awards, including the following:
- West Virginia took FIRST PLACE in the Region in PAOE points this year. Our third time finishing in First in our 5-year history
- We maintained the PREMIER CHAPTER Status
- The David Levine Award for Excellence in Chapter Performance – Presented to Shane Hall
- Presidential Award of Excellence
- Star Chapter Award
- CTTC Chapter Programs Star Award – 1st Place – Presented to Kenneth Young
- Gold Ribbon for History – Presented to Joe Rigney
- Goal, High Five, and Challenge Goal for Research Promotion – Presented to Jennings Davis
- Membership Promotion Blue Ribbon – Presented to Art Hallstrom
- Received two Sustainability Awards
- 1st Place in the Technology Award for Educational Facilities – Jeremy Smith
Highlights for the year
- Held our 1st High Performance Buildings Day (2 meetings within the State).
- Held our 3rd annual Day of Learning/Trade Show – our event was bigger than ever and a huge success as an RP fund raiser.
- Provided WVU Student Branch a behind the scenes tour of the WVU Student Rec Center – HVAC focus.
- Hosted four DL visits.
- Finished 1st in the Region in PAOE points (first in 5 categories).
- Met requirements to maintain Premiere Chapter status.
